I’m a city girl at heart. I’m used to having a plethora of hair stylists at my fingertips to choose from whenever I’m ready to get my hair done— I’ll also mention that I’m one of the girls that has a hair appointment set up every two weeks.
Imagine going from having 20+ estheticians, hair dressers and nail techs to choose from for a proper beauty squad to literally 5…..collectively. And hey, I’m not saying you need 30 beauty gurus on your side but having that great of a number means you have options. From here you can probably guess what my challenge has been while living in this quaint, small town.
There are almost no beauty professionals in my current area that fit my standard. Specifically, there are no black beauty professionals around here. There are very few, and those few just don’t give what I need! For this reason I’ve been doing my own hair more than I ever have & I must say that I don’t enjoy it! 😭 I’d really just rather have someone else playing in my hair so it’s done right. But I must say that I’m over so lucky to have a girlfriend that knows how to French braid because babyyyy….. I’ve been rocking upart wigs like crazy. Babes been giving me wig braids and it’s really been a lifesaver as I navigate through this interesting chapter of my life. I did a vlog showing now I touched up my wig braids and installed my wig. Watch it and pray that I found a good stylist around these parts.
